Jazzmeia Horn

Jazzmeia Horn is a Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist whose powerful voice, fearless improvisation, and deep connection to jazz tradition have made her one of the most compelling singers of her generation. Born and raised in Dallas, Horn is a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and went on to study at The New School in New York City. She won both the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition and the Thelonious Monk Institute International Jazz Competition, establishing herself as a major force in contemporary jazz. With influences ranging from Sarah Vaughan and Betty Carter to the greats of jazz history, Horn brings an electrifying combination of swing, soul, and originality to every performance.
